Ameren Vegetation Reclamation Project

Federal reliability requirements state that electrical utilities must establish a vegetation management program to ensure safety and reliability. Ameren Transmission supervisors oversee the Vegetation Management Program to ensure clearance between trees and transmission lines. In 2024, UPDC was hired as part of a team to acquire easements for Ameren to properly maintain transmission lines and ensure the safety and reliability of the transmission grid for all communities.
